The Survey on Occupational Contact Dermatitis


Abstract
The suvey was performed to investigate the frequency and pattern of occu¡þpational dermatoses in our country. It is well known fact that the most occu¡þpational skin diseases results from contact with a chemical substance. And approximately 80 per cent of all cases of occupational contact dermatits result from contact with primary irritants, For this reason an understanding of the patterns of skin irritation is of considerable importance toracticioners.
1. The frequency of contact dermatitis among the textile manufacturing workersis 0.8per cent of all member to examine medically.
The patch test was done with suspected dye stained texile fiber and 66.6% of positive result was obtaincd.
2. Dermatitis in the cement industry was investigated, and chronic contact dermatitis patients was examined in 7.14% of all workers.
3. Contct dermatitis of dyeing worker was accounted in 9.4% of all examined. 4. Frequeucy of hand eczema of housewives reveals in 8% of all examined.
